Our Mission
The Lafayette County C-1 School District will ensure the highest level of achievement for every member of the school community. This will be accomplished by a highly qualified staff using the best instructional practices. The District will provide a positive, safe environment including an ongoing assessment, support and character development.

About Us
Housed on approximately 60 acres, the Lafayette County C-1 School District is one of the first things people notice as they drive into the city of Higginsville on Highway 13, coming from I-70. All district schools are situated on one campus. A large "Home of the Huskers" sign and a replica of "Harold the Husker", school mascot, welcome visitors and residents as they drive by the school complex. C-1 schools have been Accredited with Distinction by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. In addition, the high school has been a member of the North Central Association of Schools since 1944. Lafayette County C-1 offers a diversified extracurricular activities program, providing opportunities in vocal/instrumental music, athletics, and academic support clubs and teams. Lafayette County C-1 High School is an active member of the Missouri River Valley Conference (MRVC)
